Eduardo Camavinga’s Real Madrid contract has been extended till 2029.

August 2021 saw the midfielder join the team; he just finished fourth in the Kopa Trophy vote.

He has now established himself as a reliable member of their midfield and has already led them to Champions League and La Liga victories.

According to The Athletic, his new contract has an £870 million release clause in addition to an increased pay.

It follows the signing of long-term extensions by Eder Militao, Rodrygo, and Vinicius Jr. last week, all of whom reportedly included a comparable buyout clause.

With Vinicius Jr. committed until 2027 and Rodrygo and Militao until 2028, Camavinga’s new contract is the longest.

Madrid is growing more cautious about the threat posed by Saudi Arabian teams, particularly since Karim Benzema was taken off their hands by Al-Ittihad this summer with an £86 million per season offer.

After beginning their lives in a camp for refugees in Angola, the France international has had a difficult path.

When he was a baby, his parents Celestino and Sofia brought him and his siblings to France, where they were when he won the Champions League in 2022.

He finished second in the Kopa Trophy last season and has now joined from Rennes to continue developing in a crowded Madrid midfield.

When he won the Copa del Rey, starting from left-back in a 2-1 victory over Osasuna in the final, he still only turned 20 years old and became the youngest player in Real Madrid history to win all six club championships.
