The two most renowned figures in basketball and football, LeBron James and Kylian Mbappé, have united in a special sports shoe collection presented by Nike.
LeBron James and Kylian Mbappé, two of the biggest names under the Nike banner, have collaborated on an unexpected project. This collaboration began on January 5 when both LeBron James and Kylian Mbappé surprisingly changed their Instagram avatars to feature each other, catching the attention of fans worldwide.
Many even speculated that the young Paris Saint-Germain star might be on the verge of a move to Liverpool, given that “King” James was a shareholder in the English club.
But to everyone’s surprise, this turned out to be the first step in Nike’s advertising campaign for a collection named “The Chosen 2.” The collection’s name is inspired by the famous “The Chosen One” tattoo on the reigning NBA champion’s back. “The Chosen 2” comprises two main products: the LeBron 18 “Chosen 2” shoe and the Nike Mercurial Superfly VII “Chosen 2” shoe.
The design of both shoe models is striking, featuring opposing Nike logos on the body of the shoe. The color scheme used in both shoes is black transitioning to purple, inspired by the colors of the PSG jersey.
