After the NBA renews its television contract in 2025, the league plans to revisit the issue of expansion. Construction of a new basketball arena in Las Vegas is scheduled to begin in 2026. All-Star Weekend has previously been held in Vegas, and the city also plays host to the NBA’s annual summer league and the U.S. national team’s training camp.

It appears that both Las Vegas and Seattle will soon get NBA expansion franchises.
