The authorities of Florida’s Everglades National Park observed an alligator and a python conversing in a remote area. The gut of the Burmese Python was torn apart while it was digesting a 2-meter-long short-snout crocodile. The Python was about to swallow the alligator whole when it exploded suddenly.

The center of the python’s swollen belly rises above the water’s surface, revealing the crocodile’s enormous weight. The 4-meter Burmese python, which was too large for its prey, reportedly demolished its stomach before finishing its meal. The crocodile’s pulse rate was reduced to 2-3 beats per minute, fooling the python into believing it was ᴅᴇᴀᴅ.

According to Flavio Fenton, a professor in the Georgia Institute of Technology’s School of Physics, they are incredibly resilient. Burmese pythons ʜᴜɴᴛ by monitoring their prey’s heart rate.

Because of this, the alligator can trick the python into thinking that its victim is immobile. Once it has been totally consumed, the crocodile’s head, shoulders, and front legs become the enemy from within.

The force of the counterᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ caused the python to burst, and both beasts ᴅɪᴇᴅ in the water. According to Frank Mazzoti, a professor of wildlife at the University of Florida, the outcome of the conflict between the two reptiles was unexpected.

Pythons can ᴋɪʟʟ other animals without a doubt if they can ᴋɪʟʟ crocodiles. Mazzoti believed that this incident proved it was a draw. Later, wildlife specialists found the crocodile skin in the python’s digestive tract.
