Mother Deer’s Heroic Stand: Defending Her Cubs Against Fire Wolves

The hunt of the fire wolves or Asian wild dogs was recorded in the Kabini forest, Karnataka state, southwestern India. Recently, 52-year-old photographer Sriramulu Ravi Kumar, from the city of Bangalore, India released a series of photos of wildlife in the Kabini forest, including a series of photos of the confrontation between a fire wolf and a mother deer.

“The young deer did not survive despite the mother’s best efforts to save her. The fire wolves were very stubborn. I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to witness this rare confrontation in the wild,” the photographer said. Photographer Kumar said.

The Kabini Forest covers over 22 hectares and is part of the Nagarhole National Park in India
