Jude Bellingham surpassed legendary Cristiano Ronaldo’s record at Real Madrid after scoring the winning goal in a 3-0 win over Cadiz.

The England international scored with a classy finish with 16 minutes left in the match to help coach Carlo Ancelotti’s team win a 3-0 victory on the field of Cadiz after the international break and temporarily rose to the top of the rankings.

Bellingham has made an immediate impact since he moved to Real from Dortmund for 103 million euros (£88.5m) in the summer transfer window with 14 goals in 15 appearances. In addition, with the assist for Rodrygo to open the score against Cadiz last night, the 20-year-old player also had 3 “clearances”; for teammates.

By scoring against Cadiz last night, Bellingham became the only Real Madrid player to score more than 13 goals in the first 15 matches.

Before Bellingham, the legendary Ronaldo also had a good start at the Bernabeu after moving from Man United for £80 million in 2009 with 13 goals in his first 15 appearances in all competitions.

But the Portuguese international could only equal the record set by legendary Alfredo Di Stefano in 1953 and Spanish striker Pruden in 1943.

Bellingham’s latest achievement also puts him ahead of other Madrid legends including Ferenc Puskas, Raul and Ronaldo, who all scored fewer goals than the 20-year-old midfielder after 15 matches.

Bellingham hopes to extend his scoring streak in the Champions League on Wednesday when Real Madrid host Napoli at the Bernabeu.
